Private (or 2:1) yoga and/or mindfulness in Chelmsford or Frinton-on-Sea
Many people come to mindfulness and/or yoga by initially taking private classes, allowing confidence to build, and a familiarity with practices before perhaps choosing to move into a group setting. If we’re honest, it can be the very best way to start. In-person classes are held in central Chelmsford (Moulsham Mill) and in the centre of Frinton-on-Sea, at a welcoming physiotherapy clinic.
There is no need whatsoever to be very young or bendy. Like most people, we are not!
People’s reasons for coming to mindfulness / gentle yoga (as you choose) are manifold, and can include:
Learning tools to lower stress and anxiety
Learning practices that help with insomnia
Time out away from demands, busyness
Learning gentle, accessible physical postures that build: strength, mobility, balance, awareness
Help with ongoing mild-moderate lower back issues
Help with recovery from illness or injury
Improving mobility
Nervous system regulation to lower blood pressure and move out of (the often default) ‘fight or flight’ mode.
Sessions can take place on a yoga mat (provided) or on a chair, or a mix of both.
As experienced, highly trained teachers we have decades of experience working with people on a private basis, offering tailored 1:1 or 2:1 mindfulness or gentle mindful yoga - or a calming mix of both.
There is no set frequency - students are welcome to book a one-off, or come weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
In-person: Flat rate of £75 for a standalone booking or £70 per hour if five or more are block booked and paid for in advance. This flat rate fee is for either one or two people.
Live streamed via zoom: £60 an hour
Block booked sessions also come with a bespoke audio practice that we will record for you to use at home, enabling you to practice in your own time.
Please note: all private sessions must be paid for in advance and in full. We need at least 48 hours’ notice of cancellation, otherwise the full amount will be charged.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
As experienced Mindfulness teachers we can offer the seminal eight-week course Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and our own Mindfulness for Stress and Worry, on a private (individual or group) or corporate basis, live streamed. Again, please email us to talk more.
